Weird

I've been back home for 4 days now. Don't get me wrong...I LOOOOOVE home. Love it. But I can't help but feel weird.  I can't really describe how I'm feeling. It's a weirdo feeling. Maybe it's because I know there's so much more out there, I feel like Fayetteville is too small for me now. There are so many cool things to see and do and I'm young...being here seems like such a shame, but then there's my family here too, which makes it totally not a waste of my time.

I don't know. I feel like I'm really different and everyone else is the same. After all, I have been away for a year, and as much as I'd like to think it didn't, life did go on without me?!

  1. Reverse culture shock... it's the worst! It won't last too long though, don't worry!

  2. It is the worst...I felt the same way, girl when I came back from Mexico and I was only there for 6 months! It does get better, but you are probably also changed forever...maybe you need something bigger!

  3. so true... i had the same feelings when i went back after study abroad. i found myself asking for agua de sabor in mexican restaurants (they never had agua de limon) and buying my snacks at the mexican grocery store (US coke isnt the same and the cheetos dont have chili) just because i missed it all. I cant imagine what my insanities will grow to when i eventually go back to the states.
    but you'll find something soon...
